Politics and Religion. We’re not supposed to talk about that, right? Wrong! We only say that nowadays because the loudest, most extreme voices have taken over the whole conversation. Well, we‘re taking some of that space back! If you’re dying for some dialogue instead of all the yelling; if you know it’s okay to have differences without having to hate each other; if you believe politics and religion are too important to let ”the screamers” drown out the rest of us and would love some engaging, provocative and fun conversations about this stuff, then ”Talkin‘ Politics & Religion Without Killin‘ Each Other” is for you!

In this episode, we explore the effectiveness of arguments against Kamala Harris in the political arena. We discuss the role of different layers making and hearing these arguments, from Trump's base to media narratives, and how these affect undecided or "base adjacent" voters. We highlight multiple lines of attack used against Vice President Harris, such as accusations of her being unintelligent, a flip-flopper, or criticisms of her personal history. We also reckon with their ineffectiveness in persuading critical voters. At the end of the day (or the campaign), what messages sway the actual voters who will decide the election? How do these attacks compare with the substantive policy questions that should be prioritized? The episode also underscores the significance of engagement and turnout in swing states, and the necessity for both parties to appeal to these pivotal voter groups.
